Tumbling Tulsa | Being The Best

Hello and welcome to Tulsa tumbled talk with justice tumbling company, the one and only Tulsa tumbling show where we are Tulsa tumbling experts, answer the questions that we get from parents and athletes on a daily basis. We are your hosts, Coulton cruise and rusty breath, and we are the owners of justice tumbling company in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Now, the topic of today’s episode is being on top of your game, whether that’s a practice, competitions or cheering up football and basketball games, or even at home or school or out with your friends. It’s important to take care of your body all day, every day. Now, the Cambridge dictionary defines being on top of your game as to be performing extremely well and a sport job, Tumbling Tulsa, so that you could not perform any better, and the best way you can do that is eating right before your practices, your competition’s all that stuff.

That also includes drinking water to stay hydrated. According to the United States Department of Agriculture, women need to drink about 91 ounces of water a day. That’s two point seven liters. While men should average 125 ounces in order to stay healthy and stay hydrated, so that’s a little bit less than a gallon of water a day, so when you see those athletes who carry around the jug of water and that’s what they’re doing, they’re staying hydrated. Try to do that. I know it might be awkward. You’re not going to fit a gallon of water in your purse, but very tedious, but whenever you’re walking around with that, that bottle of water, Tumbling Tulsa. You’re going to drink it and you’re going to stay hydrated, but if your gym, they don’t have air conditioning and you’re sweating it out, you should be drinking probably more water than that gallon. Your body needs water and water is to your body the same way.

Oil is to a car. It keeps everything running properly and you have to have that. Can’t stress that enough. Now, we have a notable quotable here from John Roman, Leo Neo. Neo Bromeliad is one of the most highly regarded experts in the fitness industry. He said the best training program in the world is absolutely worthless without the will to execute it properly, consistently and with intensity, and that is justice tumbling company, absolutely best Tulsa tumbling classes in the Tulsa tumbling industry, so when you’re coming to practice, when you’re coming to your competition, when you’re going to your games that you’re cheering at, you’ve got to be on top of your game. How do we do that? Make sure you have your hair up and out of the way. You’ve got your athletic wear on or whatever you’re supposed to be wearing at that event, your proper shoes and that means no holes, rusty, but even before that, Tumbling Tulsa making sure you’re getting plenty of sleep and taking the time to do the homework that your coaches are giving you. Whether that’s conditioning, stretching, whatever it may be.

We can’t stress that enough. Do your homework at home. It will help in the long run. Your time with the coach is limited, but there are always things you can do to better your performance on your own at home Tumbling Tulsa

and then when you are in that class or that competition or the private, make sure that you are warming up and stretching properly. We’ve we have a podcast that goes over that why that those things are important. You always want to prepare your body for the skills that you’re going to be doing so that you are in your tip top shape Tumbling Tulsa.

Now, Colton, are you telling me if I am an athlete and I am coming into a class or private and I am training the technique, really diving in and listening to what the coach is saying. Then when I go home, I don’t practice on my trampoline and I condition and I do the conditioning or homework that the coach has given me. I will learn

quicker. You will learn quicker and I will tell you that you are one of my star athletes because if we could get all of our athletes to, uh, to work that hard and make those commitments to not do the things we tell them not to do and to do the things that we tell them to do. You get a gold star. So now rusty, what are some things that we do at justice tumbling company that keeps us at the top of our game?

There are multiple things we do. This is our full time job, this is our passion. This is what we really enjoyed doing. So we make it a point to come in and do weekly trainings. We do these podcasts. We’re always researching and always trying to perfect our coaching. Tumbling Tulsa, if anything new comes or if somebody tells me a different way of doing something and it works, I will definitely adapt my coaching the same way we want our kids to be able to adapt and grow. We do that as coaches as well.

Adapt and overcome. Now can anybody guess with with a show of hands, can anybody guess what time rusty and I wake up to do these podcasts? What time are we doing this podcast at? Rusty? What time did you wake up this morning at 3:50. Three 50. I, I wake up between 3:30 and 4:00 every morning we get up, we come to our gym, we do these podcasts because that’s our dedication to you are athletes, so we want to be at the top of our game so that you guys can be at the top of yours. There are so many coaches out there were tumbling. Coaching is just their part time job. They tumble kids at night and during the day they have their, you know, their regular job. That is not the case with us.

We are always studying videos of athletes we’ve taken from the previous days and going over different drills and technique we can do to help that athlete. So the next time we do see that athlete, we have a game plan of what we want to do with them.

That’s a perfect point because, and I tell my athletes that whenever you have a private with me or you’re in one of our classes, our coaching does not end when you leave. Our coaching actually goes on after you leave the door. We’re watching the videos that we had recorded were studying those body positions and making sure that we did everything that we could to make sure that your skills are progressing.

US being on top of our game as coaches is very important because it’s a different job than most if we do our job wrong or we don’t come in at the top of our game. I’m an athlete. You could be seriously injured and deal with those injuries the rest of their lives.

Absolutely bro. This is not burger king. If we get your order wrong, Tumbling Tulsa athletes can get seriously injured.

Someone could end up in a wheelchair the rest of their life. I broke my neck personally so I would never want to see one of the athletes I coach be in that same position, Tumbling Tulsa

so I’m not going to put any names out there, but last night I was dealing with a private who was absolutely drained. She was tired, a little irritable, but she was present and she was still working on getting those skills, but it was very clear that she was not on top of her game. She was at a sleepover the night before and she told me that she had stayed up until like 4:30 in the morning. So that’s not a very good way to stay on top of your game. You. It’s okay to have fun, but if you know you got to practice the next day or our private or class, make sure that you’re taking care of your body.

A lot of those athletes who are bailing on skills or blocking and their tumbling in a private or a class that can be pointed back at not being on top of your game. Those athletes probably like Colton said, stayed up late the night before, are tumbling with her hair, Tumbling Tulsa down in different shoes and it can be a number of things, but that’s where that can come back in and you’re tumbling

and another thing that we hadn’t mentioned yet is whenever you’re in your private or your class or at a competition or you’re cheering, you’re performing leave any and all drama out the door. Whenever you come into your gym or you’re stepping out on that football field or that competition floor, anything that’s going on in your head that is going to hinder you from performing and being at the top of your game will not help you. It will only harm you. Whatever it is you’re doing, make that your job. That is what you’re there to do and do it the best that you possibly can.
